The Avionics Electronic Basic training course provides participants with the knowledge necessary to accurately identify basic AC and DC terms, as you obtain a thorough understanding of circuit theory calculations, troubleshooting, measurement, and the function of resistors. Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to perform circuit calculations, troubleshoot, and measure basic circuits. Equipping participants with both essential knowledge and practical skills, this course prepares technicians to determine the appropriate meter to use for measurement with specific applications, and familiarizes you with the proper use and storage of meters, as well as practices for safe operation. • The course consists of 6 lessons, each with its own quiz, and a final exam. • You must pass the quizzes with a score of at least 70% to progress though the course. • In order to receive a certificate upon completion of the course, the exam must be passed with a score of at least 75%. This course is excellent preparation for the Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) test and certification offered by NCATT. Building on the essential skills and knowledge offered in the Basic course, the Avionics Electronic Intermediate training course provides participants with the skills necessary to accurately identify and understand how capacitors, inductors, and transformers work, along with recognizing the effects these components have on a circuit. While gaining familiarity with analog circuits, solid state components, frequency sensitive filters, and voltage regulators, participants will have the opportunity to perform circuit calculations and troubleshoot.

• The course consists of 8 lessons, each with its own quiz, and a final exam.
• You must  pass the quizzes with a score of at least 70% to progress though the course.
• In order to receive a certificate upon completion of the course, the exam must be passed with a score of at least 75%.

The FAR 91.411/91.413 (RVSM) course provides the participant with the knowledge necessary to understand RVSM by identifying and describing what RVSM is, and why we use it. Participants will also gain familiarity with the aircraft requirements and the effect RVSM has on the aircraft type certificate, as well as testing and training requirements. Emphasis is placed on the flight deck, air data and air traffic control systems, and regulations, including Chapter 5 and MMEL. The course also covers maintenance training requirements and practices.

• The course consists of 5 lessons and a final exam.
• In order to receive a certificate upon completion of the course, the exam must be passed with a score of at least 75%.
Objectives:
• Describe FAR 91.411/91.413 (RVSM), including the effect it has on the aircraft's type certificate
• Understand the regulations, training requirements, and maintenance practices related to FAR 91.411/91.413 (RVSM)
• Identify the components and system requirements required for an aircraft to be FAR 91.411/91.413 (RVSM) approved
• Locate information in an MMEL, 91.411, and Appendix E and apply the information found there to the system and testing requirements for FAR 91.411/91.413 (RVSM)
• Apply his/her knowledge of the FAR 91.411/91.413 (RVSM) requirements to complete the maintenance manual/log and other required forms
